For April Fool's Day in 2018, brand new ads appeared in the side and bottom ad bars. It was stated that the admins "optimized the ad delivery system for greater profit traffic analysis corporate synergy value extraction relevance and beauty." On the 2nd, the ads were removed with the message "Our advertisement experiment has come to an end! But now... something new is nesting in players’ hoards. You may want to look twice."[1]
All registered users either received Marva's Incredible Ire or Marva's Wondrous Whimsy in the Other section of their hoard. When a user tried to open them on the 1st, they gave the other item and could be opened infinite times, bouncing back and forth between the two.
Below are the advertisements that appeared when browsing the site. Clicking on them redirected back to the home page of Flight Rising.
April 2nd[]
On April 2nd the advertisements were removed and the eggs were finally able to be opened. Marva's Wondrous Whimsy opened into an Ultimate Buttersnake and Marva's Incredible Ire opened into a Phoenix.
Both familiars are unique however, in that they cycle through six different images. When loading a page that has the familiar's image on it (like the Bestiary or a dragon with one equipped) the Flight Rising server picks one of the six images at random to show up. Refreshing the page will change the displayed image.
