Boston
Hope
Boston and Hope are two notable dragons residing in the Lightweaver's and Shadowbinder's lairs respectively.
Both of their biographies contain one thing: an image of them together, surrounded by hearts, with the text "boston x hope otp".
otp
Boston's familiar is a Sweetheart Swan, and Hope's is an Enamored Swan, further expressing that the two are in love.
History[]
- Boston and Hope have been in the deities' lairs since the site's launch, originally both as Earth dragons, due to a mistake made during Lightweaver's account creation.[1]
- During the Light vs Shadow Dominance battle of August 2014, both were transported to the Shadowbinder's lair and changed to Shadow dragons. Meanwhile, the Shadowbinder's broadcast message became "My children always come home."[2] The Lightweaver left a message in Light's forum saying "Something is missing..."[3] Afterwards, Light won the battle, and Boston returned to her lair, except as a Wind dragon,[4] apparently having returned thanks to the Windsinger's assistance.[5]
Trivia[]
- Boston is a male Spiral with a Royal Basic primary, Blood Freckle secondary, and Maize Basic tertiary. He has common Wind eyes.
- Hope is a female Tundra with a Storm Basic primary, Aqua Basic secondary, and Maize Basic tertiary. She has common Shadow eyes.
- The couple both sport 7th anniversary Remembrance scenes.
- According to Undel, "There's quite a few theories circling around on where Boston and Hope's loyalties lay."[6]
- According to the Lightweaver, "He... won't stop eating. He won't stop eating."[7] This is referencing the fact that deities (and their two companions), before June 8th, 2014, were almost always "hungry" with their energy at zero.[8]
- At the suggestion of creating a storage room with a lock to keep him away, she replied, "...A storage room, you say? Some manner of lock? Perhaps the Flamecaller would be so kind as to forge me one... and perhaps the Arcanist would spell it for me. It must be strong, you see, for I do not think much less would hold the wily Boston at bay for long."[9]
- Boston and Hope have both been the subjects of Dragon Share Theme Weeks.[10][11]
