  • Specialty Item: to use this item, left-click on it in your Hoard. This pulls up a menu that allows you to select which dragon you would like to use it on. Clicking a dragon shows you a preview of them with this gene before actually changing it. Once a dragon is selected, click Apply Changes to change their secondary gene to Flair.

Appearance[]

The Flair gene adds a petal-like pattern radiating out from a dragon's wing joint, along with a gradient and star pattern on the edges of the wings.

History[]

  • Flair was released on July 23rd, 2021.[1]
  • On August 24th, 2021 the name of the gene was changed from "Flare" to "Flair".[2]
  • An error where Obelisks were not using the correct mane colors was corrected on December 28th, 2021.[3]
    • However, due to the many requests of players to change it back, the developers decided to make a poll. Voting ran from December 28th shortly after the fix went live to December 31st, 2021 at 06:00 server time[4] and the option to do a total revert was the winner.[5] 9,935 votes were cast and the poll results were:
      • Keep the fixed form - 12% of votes
      • Give all maned dragons the Obelisks' old gradient colors plus sparkly manes (maned dragons besides Obelisks include Tundras, Pearlcatchers, Skydancers, and Imperials. Wildclaws' feather crests will also be affected according to the poll thread.) - 42% of votes
      • Or revert the fix entirely and have the gene appear as it did for all dragons, including Obelisks, prior to December 28th - 47% of votes

Trivia[]
