Pirate Day (or Talk Like a Pirate Day) is a September event in which the scallywags of Sornieth continue their plunder! Arr!
2013[]
The "first" Pirate Day was "celebrated" with the original Corsair's apparel, which was available from the site's launch, cycling out of the gem Marketplace.[1]
2014[]
On September 19th, 2014, the Corsair's apparel cycled back into the Marketplace until September 21st at 22:00 server time.[2] Talk Like a Pirate Day was annually celebrated this way until 2016.
2016[]
On September 19th, 2016, the existing Corsair's set received an art update, the overcoat was added to the bundle, and three color variant sets were released: Buccaneer's, Privateer's, and Swashbuckler's.[3]
2020[]
September 19th, 2020 saw the usual return of the Seaspray Collection, as well as several new additions.[4]

2022[]
Now officially being referred to as just Pirate Day, September 19th, 2022 brought an overhaul to the event. 
Tarnished Doubloons can now be obtained via most daily activities, and may be used as currency at the new Grand Exchange shop: Patches' Pirate Plunder. Several new items were released, all available through Patches.[5]
